"The Kwame Nkrumah Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana at Legon, will play host for the next one year to renowned Nigerian writer and winner of the Penguin Prize for African Writing, Professor Pius Adesanmi. The Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada Professor of English and African Studies was recently named a Carnegie Diaspora Visiting Professor and will spend his time in Ghana working on a project funded by Carnegie Corporation, New York, with the aim of harnessing the expertise of Africa's diaspora-based intellectuals for the development of Universities across Africa. To shed more light on this prestigious appointment, Sahara Reporters caught up with a key figure in the project: Dr. Tade Aina, Program Director, Higher Education in Africa, Carnegie Corporation, New York."
