Sir Ogugua Anunoby,
Thanks for raising the voice of moderation. Since charity begins at home, I assume that first and foremost you are appealing to Nigerian Muslims to prevail on their terrorist brethren in Boko Haram & allies to have mercy on innocent "people of the Book"...
Don Harrow has rightly said that "non-extremist muslims are the first to be victims of the extremists, when they speak out"
Not only non-extremist Muslims.
I guess that if back from the prayer banks of the River Jordan, Sir Goodluck Jonathan started banning certain Muslim religious sects in Nigeria he may face rebellion within his own party and not win the next presidential elections – the shock of the hour with some Northern governors coming out strongly to say, "We are all Boko Haram!"
So he treads softly.
Those whom you call extremists are sometimes nothing more than the armed wing of al-Islam, punishing the Kuffar - whilst some of your moderate Muslims pretend to look the other way. What is the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians/Arabs all about? It's all about the Supremacist Muslims not wanting any Jewish enclave in their midst – and "the extremists" are supposed to be the thorn that gives "the infidels" (those who do not recognise the prophecies of Muhammad Ibn Abdullah - S.a.w) a taste of the hellfire , right here on earth...
Was thinking about the possible partition of Nigeria just now, listening to the news that Scotland is to have a peaceful referendum on the 18th of September next year to determine whether or not most Scots would like to leave the amalgamation known as the United Kingdom.
Please pray for us all.
Sincerely,

Should it matter whether or not this report is true? I do not know. Without any intention to trivialize what if true, must be recognized as a significant development, I sometimes think that more true Muslims should be more constructively concerned about and engaged in stopping the enduring, very pricy damage that extremists in their midst, are doing to their set of religious belief that those who seem to know, describe as a well-meaning religious belief set. Many true believers it seems to me mostly choose acquiescence as their convenient, effective, preferred, and timely response to the continued exploitative corrosion of the theory and practice of their faith by extremist economic, political, and social adventurers and opportunists. We are reminded again that when self-regulation fails, external regulation may happen.
