A US-based Nigerian medical practitioner and licensed attorney, Dr Emmanuel Fashakin, was this morning stopped at the immigration entry point at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) by men of the SSS after his Arik flight from New-York touched ground in Nigeria. The cause of the arrest has not been made clear because the officer to do the interrogation is expected to resume work at 8:00am. The time of his arrest by one office named Ugoh was about 5:40am.
He was simply told that there is a tab on his Passport.
What is not clear is whether this is part of the baring of the fangs of the Jonathan regime.
What is clear is that Dr. Fashakin has been active on some of the cyber-space Nigerian discussion groups.
How the commentaries authored by him on these media have not become the cause of worry for the regime is left to be seen.
