USA Africa Dialogue Series - In the kingdom of nature: Genocide : The African Elephant

In the animal kingdoms of Mother Africa (the mother of civilisation) the dwindling tribes of elephants are being threatened with extinction their populations severely diminished – 30% - killed for their ivory tusks.

In the Kingdom of Soukous, Pepe Kalle was affectionately known as known as "The Elephant of Zaire"


My in-laws – Fant – are also affectionately "el-e-fants…"
