I am surprised at your outrage. Reason , of course, takes flight when you become an adherent of a faith that forbids inquiry and sacrifices knowledge on the altar of blind faith.

Any group of people who believe in the virgin birth, resurrection and ascension literally will eat shit and even slaughter their own offspring in the hands of a skilled mountebank.

A famous pastor in Nigeria who holds a doctorate and sits at the helm of the church version of starbucks once lauded as achievement the fact that his church was taking over all the abandoned ware houses and even cinemas in Nigeria. None of the congregation saw the irony: The church is growing but the economy is dying, halleluyah! Unemployment is rising but church attendance is at a record high, can I get a witness!

My wife, a good woman but a devoted pentecostal, tells me all I have is carnal knowledge and I don't even know as much as Saul a learned fellow before he became Paul on his way to Damascus. She said I will be arrested by God too. If its God no problem, I am more afraid of being arrested by the Nigerian police or cardiac!
