--Sad news again: Professor Austin Ahanotu is gone. Unfortunately, Austin died in his sleep in Obazu, Nigeria on Saturday, January 25, 2014. A professor of African History for many years, he became well known for his writings on the Igbo. Is family is planning a Wake in California March 1, 2014 and the funeral and burial in Nigeria tentatively for April 24, 2014.Mrs. Adele Ahanotu can be reached at
