Dear All,
Professor Niyi Akinnaso, a columnist of a Nigerian News Paper, The Punch has argued against the claim that President Jonathan is an achiever like President Obama of the United States of America.
The world knows that President Obama is the most effective counter attack strategist against terrorists. He has done so in Pakistan where Bin Laden, the Al-Qaeda leader was captured and killed with a proof of his DNA. He has dealt with the leaders of the various terrorists in Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan etc. How did he do it? That is what President Jonathan ought to learn and apply the strategy to secure the release of over 200 schoolgirls captured by Boko Haram insurgents a couple of weeks ago.
I think it is self defeating for anyone to equate President Jonathan with President Obama in all ramifications. President Obama is a world Leader and President Jonathan is an apprentice in the art of leadership.
Let the sycophants of President Jonathan know where to draw the line of demarcation between a world leader and an apprentice. Obama is the President of the United States of America, the most powerful nation on this planet earth for now and Jonathan is the President of a confused nation, a failed State called Nigeria. He is more of an ethnic President, the Ijaw where his ethnic leaders blow fire and brimstone to make sure his leadership is not truncated by his enemies.
A leader who performs does not need ethnic loyalty because his scorecards speak for him.
May we be honest enough and critical objectively when our leader is examined in time like this.
We need a counter attack to stem the tide of Boko Haram insurgency. We need a counter attack to defeat the sycophants. We need a counter attack to defeat false spiritualists. We need counter attack to free Nigeria from corruption and poverty. We need counter attack to defeat the enemies of our nation.
We shall win, if we work together as people with vision and mission.
Segun Ogungbemi.
