Ridiculous.
The Chibok parents should take a decision central to the welfare of Nigeria?
You dont run a country that way.
What is the scope of their understanding of the short and long range implications of the issues involved?
Secondly, are these not the same Chibok people whom Shettima, the governor of Borno state, claims prevailed on him to keep the children in the Chibok school even though all other schools were closed and WAEC suggested that the students be moved to Maiduguri for safety?
Are these not the same Chibok parents at the centre of suspicious kidnapping in which no teacher, no male student, no adult is visible to present a story and in with the principal giving starkly conflicting accounts of what happened?
How are the Chibok parents to be distinguished from Shettima who ought to be under investigation for sabotage of the Nigeria's war efforts against Boko Haram Islamic trusts and should have been sacked from his job for that act of sabotage?
Are some people not trying to sell this country for nefarious purposes?
Such a worse than ridiculous idea as entrusting security decisions to uninformed citizenry and citizenry at the heart of a suspicious occurrence such as this should not even see the light of day,
thanks

We have come to the conclusion that the only legitimate option for the government of Nigeria in the predicament of the abducted 234 Chibok girls is to entrust the decision to negotiate with the terrorists to the parents of the girls.
We advise the Federal government of Nigeria to host a meeting of all affected parents for them to make a decision on what course of action Nigeria should take in handling the release of their wards. This recommendation is in the best interest of the nation and the direct victims of our failure.
